Greetings from Washington DC!  I am at the visiting, waiting for my JetBlue flight back to Boston.  I just spent the last three days here at a conference and as I sit here, I am inspired to write a little bit about my thoughts.  So, by visual analysis only, I would say that the conference was skewed male.  Needless to say, there was a bit of eye candy at the conference.  While many of the men were older, distinguished, and married, there was a share of unmarried eligible bachelors – and bonus, most of them were Jewish.

But my radar wasn’t at full capacity.  Why, you ask?  I wasn’t at my best this week.  My ankles were bothering me so I had to wear my sneakers (awkward when everyone else is wearing heels and suits – and that was just the men!).   And I didn’t really pack appropriately.  I have all of these great clothes and suits, but I didn’t know it was such a formal affair.  Lesson learned but that type of info is helpful to know in advance.

Sometimes your game is just off.

I think I felt intimidated and I rarely feel intimidated by anyone or anything.

So what do I do now?  Go home, dust myself off, and remind myself that tomorrow is another day!
